Primary Purpose

Operated by the College, the downtown space at 51 Main Street will be used as a night club/wine bar three nights per week. 51 Main will be open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 5 PM to 1 AM.

The Door Monister is a part-time, benefits eligible position.

Responsibilities

Works cooperatively with others and accepts direction from supervisors.

Verifies legal age of patrons for alcohol consumption.

Monitors entrances and egress for illegal entry or exit.

Acts courteously and professionally in all interactions.

Sets up dining area with appropriate table settings.

Ensures tables are set according to proper standards.

Clears tables in appropriate manner and in accordance with standards.

Assists in kitchen/beverage areas.

Attends training sessions.

Adheres to dress code.

Education & Training

No formal education required.

Experience

Knowledge

Knowledge of DLC rule and regulations, must understand the ins and out of id cards for determining legal drinking age.

Other

Must be physically able to lift 10-20 lbs. numerous times each day, and up to 50 lbs. once a day. Requires long periods of time standing and frequent walking.
