The Registrar's Office is located in Forest Hall, which maintains students academic records and oversees course registration. Forest is the only building with "sink-mate" style living, which is two single rooms connected by a sink room. The basement is home to the largest laundry facility on campus as well the popular lounge space called lower forest. Recently renovated, this building has a large new kitchen and lounge and keypad entry into residents' rooms.
History
Built in 1936 with funds from the sale of mountain forest lands bequeathed by Col. Joseph Battell in 1860, its name recognizes that this dormitory was financed by the sale to the National Forest Service of 21,858.9 acres of Green Mountain woodland left to the College by Joseph Battell. This building used to house the Reprographics and Mailing Services but in 2010 the building was renovated with these departments moving to Freeman International Center (FIC) and being replaced with resident rooms and lounges.
