Pearsons is a student residence hall for 70 students in Cook Commons. It is home to a popular lounge as well as the Kade Room, a "smart" classroom in the basement that doubles as a reading and resource room for students of German.

History

Named for a benefactor, D.K. Pearsons. It was the first major dormitory built on the 35 acres given by Col. Joseph Battell '60 for a "women's campus" on the beautiful ridge north of College street. Pearsons Hall was the home of the first summer language school (of German) in 1915.

This accelerated course is designed to reinforce, in one semester, the basic linguistic structures that students need in order to reach the intermediate level of proficiency in Spanish.
