Offering a unique experience in cross country skiing and snowshoeing in the heart of Vermont's beautiful Green Mountains, the Carroll & Jane Rikert Nordic Center is located on Route 125 in Ripton, Vermont, at the historic Bread Loaf Campus of Middlebury College.

Our 50 kilometers of groomed cross country ski trails have terrain to satisfy skiers of all abilities, from beginners to collegiate and master racers. Hop on Vermont's Catamount Trail, which runs through our trail system, or make your way through the woods to Robert Frost's cabin.

Snowshoers will find easy access to our new snowshoe trails, allowing them to enjoy the peace and quiet of the Vermont woods.

Enjoy our hot soup or bring your own lunch and relax by the woodstove in our fully ADA accessible ski shop.

We provide both ski and snowshoe equipment rentals for all ages, pulks to pull the young ones, ski lessons, and repair and maintenance for your equipment.
