The Carroll and Jane Rikert Ski Touring Center is located at the Bread Loaf Campus of Middlebury College, and provides a winter recreation area for students, alumni, parents, and other cross-country enthusiasts. Bordered by the Green Mountain National Forest, these woodlands provide unspoiled natural beauty near the top of the Green Mountain range.
Just 12 miles east of Middlebury on Route 125 and one and one-half miles west of the Middlebury College Snow Bowl, the Touring Center offers 42 kilometers of prepared trails. Whether you're out for a day tour or race training, the facility provides picturesque and challenging trails for every level of ability.
Rental equipment, repairs, and waxing rooms are available in the Center's Ski Shop. A full-time staff of professional ski instructors offers lessons on a private and group basis.
The Center's indoor facilities offer a warm atmosphere. There is always a spot next to the wood stove to relax and enjoy a snack.
