Professor of Political Science Eric Davis was quoted in the Nov. 28 edition of The Washington Post in an article titled "Critics in Vermont Rally Around Dean." The article appeared on the second page of the paper's front section.

The Washington Post quoted Scott Pardee and identified him as a professor of finance at Middlebury College in an article on page one of the business section titled "Longtime Colleagues Win Nobel Prize in Economics" on Thursday, Oct. 9.

Professor of Political Science Eric Davis was quoted twice in the Sunday, August 3, edition of The Washington Post in a page-one article titled "As Governor, Dean Was Fiscal Conservative." The story is also on the paper's Web site.

Eric Davis was identified as a professor of political science at Middlebury College and quoted in a front-page Washington Post story about presidential hopeful Howard Dean, "Short-Fused Populist, Breathing Fire at Bush," that ran on Sunday, July 6. The text is on the paper's Web site.

Eric Davis was quoted in a page-one article in the June 24 edition of The Washington Post and identified as a professor of political science at Middlebury College. Titled "Ex-Vermont Governor Comes Out Swinging," the story is about former Vermont governor Howard Dean's official launch of his campaign yesterday in Burlington. The article is on the paper's Web site here. Eric appeared on WCAX-TV's evening news on June 23 to comment on Dean's announcement and also discussed this topic as a guest on VPR's "Switchboard" on June 24.

On Sunday, April 13, The Washington Post ran an opinion piece titled "Oil: Give Every Iraqi An Equal Share" by a professor of economics at Middlebury College Scott E. Pardee. The link to the article on the paper's Web site is

Middlebury College and residential college or commons systems were mentioned a number of times in an article in The Washington Post's Style section on Februiary 25, "A Neighborhood in a Dorm." Bob O'Hara was quoted extensively and identified as "a biology professor at Middlebury College and principal founder of Cornelia Strong Residential College at the University of North Carolina Greensboro." In the January 6, 2003 Washington Post, there is an opinion piece titled "A Threat to Our Coherent Human Future," by writer and Visiting Scholar in Environmental Studies Bill McKibben, which compares the claims by the Raelians that they've cloned a human being with the scientific community's discussions about genetic manipulation.
