On Oct. 5, Associate Professor of Political Science Jeff Cason was again interviewed by the BBC World Service, in Portuguese, and the program went out over the airwaves during morning drive time in Sao Paulo on Radio El Dorado, one of Sao Paulo's largest news radio stations. The topic of the interview was Secretary of State Colin Powell's visit to Brazil--Powell was there from Oct 4-6.
On Aug. 18, Associate Professor of Political Science Jeff Cason was interviewed by the BBC World Service radio about Brazil's foreign policy as it relates to Haiti (Brazil is leading the multinational UN peacekeeping force in Haiti, and on Aug. 18 Brazil's national soccer team played Haiti's national team in Haiti, in a "friendly" match). The interview was conducted in Portuguese, and transmitted live over Radio El Dorado, the BBC's partner station in Sao Paulo and a news-radio station with one of the largest numbers of listeners in Brazil.
