The story was one of many that Middlebury appeared in regarding its decision, along with five other colleges and universities, to make an agreement with Napster so it can offer its students an online music service.

He was quoted in an Agence France Press story that ran in Le Figaro (Paris) on Jan. 20. Translated versions of this article, in Spanish and Portuguese, appeared in El Colombiano (a newspaper in Columbia) and on Ultima Segundo (an Internet news service in Brazil). Eric was also quoted in an earlier Agence France Press story, "US presidential campaign moves into high gear," that appeared on the Channel News Asia Web site on Jan. 25.
