Bill McKibben wrote an op-ed piece that was published in the Los Angeles Times on Sunday, Sept. 26, titled "On the Environment, the U.S. Is the Rogue Nation."  Bill was identified as a scholar in residence in environmental studies at Middlebury College.

The Los Angeles Times ran a story July 20 titled "Six Universities Offer Napster Discounts."  The story was one of many that Middlebury appeared in regarding its decision, along with five other colleges and universities, to make an agreement with Napster so it can offer its students an online music service.

Professor of Political Science Eric Davis continues to get calls from reporters who got to know him when Howard Dean was campaigning.  Eric is quoted in a front-page story in the Los Angeles Times on Thursday, March 18.  The story is titled "The Race to the White House; Who's the Man?  They Are; George Bush and John Kerry stand shoulder to shoulder in one respect: Macho is good. Very good.  It's been that way since Jefferson's day."

Professor of Political Science Eric Davis was quoted about John Edwards' campaign in a March 2 Los Angeles Times article, "The Race to the White House."

The Los Angeles Times quoted Professor of Political Science Eric Davis in a Feb. 4 article, "The Race to the White House."  Foreign publications are now seeking Eric's expertise.  He was quoted in an Agence France Press story that ran in Le Figaro (Paris) on Jan. 20.  Translated versions of this article, in Spanish and Portuguese, appeared in El Colombiano (a newspaper in Columbia) and on Ultima Segundo (an Internet news service in Brazil).  Eric was also quoted in an earlier Agence France Press story, "US presidential campaign moves into high gear," that appeared on the Channel News Asia Web site on Jan. 25.
