The Associated Press covered the unveiling at Middlebury on July 7 of a new map of Lake Champlain's underwater terrain. The map was produced based on a survey of the lake by Pat and Tom Manley of the geology department, their students, and other members of the research survey team. The AP and other media attended a press conference in the Great Hall of McCardell Bicentennial Hall, where the map was unveiled by President Liebowitz and Sen. Leahy. The story is on Boston.com
