Middlebury College finished third in the overall standings of the National Collegiate Scouting Association (NCSA) Power Rankings. These rankings are an all-inclusive evaluation of academic and athletic institutions of higher learning in the United States. In the cumulative category, which considers all NCAA Division I, II, and III colleges and universities, Middlebury placed third. Middlebury placed third in the Division III rankings as well. The rankings are based on an average of three different national rankings, including the U.S. News & World Report's rankings (academics), the U.S. Sports Academy Director's Cup rankings (athletics), and the NCAA student-athlete graduation rates.
