Senior Rebecca Browngoehl has an essay included in the September 2006 book "College Essays That Made a Difference," published by The Princeton Review. The organization requested submissions from excelling students at the most exclusive and prestigious colleges and universities. The book is intended to help future college students learn what kinds of students are accepted at which schools and how important the essay is. Rebecca's essay was selected, and she and Middlebury College are featured.

The Princeton Review's "The Best 361 Colleges," an annual college guide, rated Middlebury number 1 in the "Professors Get High Marks" category. The Review published the results of its 115,000-student survey on Aug. 21. All narrative profiles and ranking lists in the book are available on the Web.
