International Herald Tribune
After the visit on Oct. 24 of Chief Justice of the United States John G. Roberts, Jr., and the announcement of the Justice William H. Rehnquist Professorship of American History and Culture, Middlebury College received media coverage in the International Herald Tribune. Full text is available online.
Stanley R. Sloan was identified as a visiting scholar at Middlebury College's Rohatyn Center for International Affairs when an opinion piece that he wrote appeared in The International Herald Tribune on May 18. The piece was titled "All the president's truths."
On Feb. 9, the International Herald Tribune published a letter to the editor from Stanley Sloan, who was a 2006 visiting winter term faculty member. In his letter he commented, "As I read the final winter term papers of my students at Middlebury College, I see both a recognition of the troubles in U.S.-European relations and the necessity for both sides to make the relationship work."
