The Feb. 15 edition of USA Today published a list of its 2006 All-USA College Academic Teams -- there is a first, second and third team. Senior Will Motley made the second team in the very competitive annual national contest. He is Middlebury's first second-team student; Dena Simmons '05 made the third team in 2005. Will is listed as a biochemistry major who discovered a new mouse gene that controls meiosis in mice and causes sterility if it is mutant. Most winners are students at universities. The article is available here, and the list of second-team members is available here.
