Kim Cronise is a visiting assistant professor of psychology at Middlebury College. She joined the faculty in 2004 and teaches courses on addictions and neurobehavioral toxicology.
Her current research focuses on a rodent model of human alcohol addiction and its contributing behavioral and physiological factors — in particular, the factors that initiate and maintain alcohol abuse and trigger relapses. She also conducts studies that assess alcohol withdrawal-induced anxiety, which is considered a risk factor for renewed drug seeking behaviors and abuse.
Cronise graduated from University of South Carolina, where she also received her master’s and doctorate.
