Matt Dickinson is an associate professor of political science at Middlebury College. He joined the faculty in 2000 and teaches courses on American politics, the presidency, and the politics of Congress.

His current research focuses on recent presidents, advisers and presidential decision making.

Recent publications include articles such as "Presidents, Responsiveness and Competence: Revisiting the 'Golden Age' at the Bureau of Budget" and "The President and Congress."

Dickinson graduated from Boston College and received his master's and doctorate from Harvard University.
