David Colander is the Christian A. Johnson Professor of Economics at Middlebury College. He joined the faculty in 1982 and teaches courses on macroeconomic theory and the history of economic thought.
Colander works with reporters and columnists at national news organizations to provide background and analysis on economic topics. He has written for or been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, The Boston Globe, The New York Times, and USA Today. He has published over 30 books and 80 articles.
His latest research focuses on economic education, complexity and the methodology appropriate to applied economics.
He has a doctorate in economics from Columbia University.
