Thierry Warin is an assistant professor of economics at Middlebury College. He joined the faculty in 2001 and teaches courses on macroeconomic and microeconomic analysis, international economics and industrial economics.

His research interests focus broadly on macroeconomic policies and more specifically on European economics.

A former journalist of L'Europeen, he has dealt with a wide range of economic and institutional complexities. He worked closely with the European commissioner in charge of the implementation of the euro, and is aware of many of the lesser-known aspects of that process. He has published numerous articles and two books on European monetary integration.

Warin received his Ph.D. from Essec Business School (Paris, France) in 2000. His dissertation focused on the credibility of monetary policy and its implication for the European Monetary Union.
