David Rosenberg is a professor of political science at Middlebury College. He joined the faculty in 1972 and teaches courses on global environmental change, international environmental politics and international political economy.
Rosenberg's article "The Political Economy of Piracy in the South China Sea" was the cover story for the summer 2009 edition of the Naval War College Review.
His research interests include the development, environment and security issues of the South China Sea, as well as democracy in Viet Nam and regime change in Nepal.
He is the author and a co-author of several books, including "Marcos and Martial Law in the Philippines" and numerous articles and book reviews. He has testified several times before both the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate's Committee on Foreign Affairs regarding issues related to the Philippines.
