Office Hours
Faculty members are expected to have a
minimum of three hours a week
designated as office hours during which they are available for consultation with students. The office hours should be at different hours and days to accommodate varying schedules, i.e., Wednesday morning and Thursday afternoon. Expectations about availability to students outside of regular office hours differ by department. As members of a residential college, students assume that faculty will be available for consultation at some times other than scheduled office hours, and the academic administration shares this view. Please see the document, "
Expectations for the Faculty
", for further discussion of this topic.
