Climate, Tectonics, Earth Surface Processes
The Geology Department at Middlebury College invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor that will begin in September, 2010. We desire an individual with expertise in the interactions between climate, tectonics and Earth surface processes. The successful applicant will teach both introductory and upper-level undergraduate courses, advise undergraduate research, and develop a research program in their area of expertise. Candidates should submit a statement of teaching and research interests, curriculum vitae, graduate transcripts, a sample of scholarly work, and three current letters of recommendation, at least two of which speak to teaching ability to: Peter Ryan, Geology Department Chair, McCardell Bicentennial Hall, Middlebury College, Middlebury, VT 05753.
