The Department of Physics solicits applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position, beginning September 2010, in Physics. The successful candidate will be expected to be able to teach a broad range of courses in the standard undergraduate physics curriculum and to contribute to the College's mission of breadth in a liberal education. Candidates should provide evidence of commitment to excellent teaching and potential to develop a strong research program involving undergraduate participation; field of specialization is open but with a strong preference for experimental physics. Send letter of application with a statement of teaching interests, curriculum vitae, graduate and undergraduate transcripts, a sample of scholarly work, and three current letters of recommendation, at least two of which must speak to teaching ability, to: Chair, Department of Physics, Middlebury College, Middlebury, VT 05753 USA.
