The Sociology-Anthropology Department invites applications for a tenure track position in Critical Race theory or Transnationalism beginning in the fall of 2009. The successful candidate must also be able to teach Classical Sociological theory. Scholarship must be focused within the United States or on transnational subjects that include the United States. Appointment will be at the Assistant Professor level. Applicants must show evidence of teaching excellence and have an active research agenda.
