Christian Studies
The Department of Religion announces a tenure-track position in Christian Studies. Candidates will be expected to teach an intellectual history of Christianity and develop other courses on classic texts, issues, or movements in historical and contemporary Christianity. The Department specifically seeks candidates who can offer courses with a focus on global Christianity or whose research and teaching interests otherwise complement the Department’s current strengths in American religious history and Christian ethics.
Application deadline: October 15, 2009. Candidates should provide evidence of commitment to excellent teaching and scholarly potential. Send letter of application with a statement of teaching and research interests, CV, graduate transcript, and three current letters of recommendation (at least two of which speak to teaching ability/promise) to Professor James C. Davis, Chair, Department of Religion, Middlebury College, Munroe Hall, Middlebury, VT 05753. Email applications will be accepted only from candidates outside the United States. Homepage:
