The Department of Religion announces a tenure-track position in Hinduism and South Asian Religions. The candidate should specialize in some area of Classical and Modern Hinduism, with a competence in South Asian Islam and the social and political dimensions of religion in South Asia. The candidate will teach introductions to Hindu Traditions and South Asian Religions, develop a set of courses on classical Hindu intellectual/theological history and their modern developments, as well as upper-level thematic courses on selected topics.
