If the item you need for your research is checked out to another Middlebury borrower, please try searching and requesting through NExpress. Ordering an item from NExpress will often be faster than recalling a Middlebury book.

If the item is unavailable through NExpress, please contact Circulation Services to request a recall or a hold.

    • You may recall the book from the current borrower.  Recalled materials are due back 7 days from the date of recall.

    • If you're not in any hurry to see the item, you may request a hold on an item by contacting Library Circulation and you will be notified if the book is returned within 6 months of the request date.

Faculty, staff and students may also submit a purchase request.

Recall, hold and NExpress request services are not available to guest borrowers.

Web requests may be placed through the online catalog or by logging in to the My Midcat page.
