How do I schedule a screening?
A:
Before requesting a screening, arrange for a suitable screening room with the Course Scheduling Office (ext. 5069). Plan to coordinate with that office for an appropriate teaching space if your audiovisual requirements for a semester are substantial.
After the location and time have been scheduled, contact the Reserves Office at the Library Circulation Desk (ext. 5494) to place the DVDs and videos you will be using on reserve for your course. All requests for classroom screening of a video must be received at least 48 hours in advance in order to reserve the video, or to allow time to recall it in case it is on loan to another professor.
Films and videos from sources outside the College may be booked via Middlebury's film rental form. After you have scheduled a room for your showing, and have financing approval, fill out the form and submit it. Place your orders as far in advance as possible-- a lead time of at least two weeks is recommended
If you need assistance with your screening(s) or an orientation to the projection equipment in the classroom, you may contact the Helpdesk (ext. 2200) to arrange it.
Library Video and Public Performance Rights
