The library has media carrels for public use equipped to play compact discs, LPs, and cassettes. Additional carrels contain computers connected to the campus network with word processing, spreadsheet, CD-ROM, and laser printing capabilities. A computer station for the use of music notation software is also available.
Two rooms contain study carrels and tables. Music students may reserve a carrel when working on a senior thesis. Four media rooms, each accommodating up to four people, are available for group study or for viewing video recordings. Each room contains a turntable, cassette player, compact disc player, VCR, laserdisc, and DVD player. In addition, one room has a digital scanner.
A photocopy machine and microform reader/printer are also available for public use. A dual-deck audio cassette recorder and a CD recorder - which can record from cassette or LP to CD - are available for copying sound recordings pursuant to copyright laws.
