What's Where -  a quick guide to library, computing, and media service points

Welcome to the Language Schools!

Please stop by the main library (a new facility just three years old) for:
  • configuring your personal computer for use in our residence halls at the Helpdesk
  • library reference & research needs
  • checking out books & DVDs
  • browsing our journal and newspaper collections
    - with many publications in the languages taught at our summer programs
  • assistance in digitizing and developing materials for media presentations

Free access to computers and printers for word processing and internet use may be found at

  • the main library
  • the music library (in the Center for the Arts)
  • Armstrong Library (in McCardell Bicentennial Hall)
  • Sunderland Language Center

All main campus libraries are air conditioned.

The Music Library contains some 15,000 CDs, including many with classical, folk and popular songs in a variety of languages, as well as printed music and books about music.

Armstrong Library's collection houses science, computing science and psychology materials.

The Davison Library on the Bread Loaf campus provides reserve readings and many literature resources.
