Try Consumer.gov
One of the most useful websites created by the federal government is Consumer.gov, a free web site which includes links to a broad array of sites of interest to consumers. Linked sites include information on product recalls, free annual credit reports, avoiding identity theft, a consumer action handbook, filing a complaint with the FTC, the national "do not call" registry, and a coupon application for converting your present TV set for DTV broadcasts beginning a year from now.
