Rob is a Senior Programmer Analyst in the LIS Database Applications & Systems workgroup and is the main technical contact person for Middlebury's College Advancement department.  Rob maintains and supports processes and interfaces relating to college advancement.

Rob hails from Western Pennsylvania, about 12 miles outside of Pittsburgh, from a town called Braddock.  He most recently was a software consultant and systems analyst for aluminum giant ALCOA.  Rob left the 'corporate' world (and rat race) for the calmer, "gentler" life of Vermont. However, thanks in a large part from the understanding and flexibility of LIS management, Rob is currently working remotely. Rob and his lovely wife Joanne are now living in a small town near Winston Salem, NC, called Pfafftown (pronounced "pauff-town" if you’re a southerner).  Since programming and computers comprise his way of life, Rob is connected to Middlebury via a VPN connection and is performing all of his duties over a high speed internet connection.

Rob spends most of his spare time trying to learn how to relax and not renovate houses anymore. This was accelerated because Rob had to leave all of his tools in VT. "We just couldn’t fit them in the moving truck". Thankfully, the house he moved into only needs painted and Rob doesn't "do" painting…much. In case you’re wondering what a Niblick is in his address, it's actually the name of an antique golf club (wooden shafted in use prior to the 20th century, equivalent to a modern 9-iron).
