The consumer edition of Microsoft's Vista operating system was released in late January 2007. These pages include information about Microsoft's Vista operating system; however, Vista is NOT currently recommended for use on the Middlebury campus. The information included here is offered as a courtesy to those who are considering purchasing a new computer. Once Windows Vista is supported we will most likely recommend Windows Vista Ultimate for use on campus.
