By accepting the information below, I agree to the following understandings and borrowing conditions for laptop computers at Middlebury College:
- I understand that this is a shared resource for the temporary computing needs of Middlebury College staff and faculty
- I agree to return the laptop by the designated due date
- I agree to uninstall any software that I may have installed, and to delete all personal files and information from this computer before returning it
- I will be responsible for paying a replacement charge of $2000 for theft, loss, or damage to this laptop
- I am solely responsible for this laptop and its replacement or repair should it become damaged, lost, or stolen.
- I agree to return this laptop directly to a staff member at the Main Circulation Desk and wait until the laptop has been checked and all accessories are accounted for.
- Irresponsible use of this laptop may result in the loss of borrowing privileges.
LIS and Middlebury College disclaim all warranties, including all implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Neither LIS nor Middlebury College shall be liable to a user or any other person for any loss or damage of any kind related to configuration and operation of any computing equipment, including but not limited to, out-of-pocket expenses, consequential damages, inconvenience, loss of data, loss of profits, loss of use, emotional stress, physical injury, or damage to software or hardware.
