What:
The Novell Client is the software that manages connections to folders such as Tigercat, Ocelot, and Classes, on most College-owned Windows computers . The Novell Client requires periodic updates, which have not been occurring automatically on college-owned computers.  Library & Information Services will be enabling an automatic update for this software that may result in an alert like the one below appearing on your computer. Tha alert will appear only if you login with an older version of the Novell Client on a Windows computer (does not apply to Windows Vista or with Mac OS, LINUX, etc.).

When:
First time you log into Novell after 7:30am on Thursday, July 31st.

Why:
Updates maintain consistent reliable connections with our Novell servers.  Some recently reported problems with connections have been resolved through the most current update.

How:
Simply login, Click "Yes" to the notification pictured below, then click on "Install/Upgrade" and "Reboot" when prompted in subsequent windows. This will only occur when you log in to a computer that is lacking the latest updated version of the Novell Client software.
