1. Start Internet Explorer and go to Banner INB Production
2. A "Security Warning" Dialog will appear asking if you wish to install "Oracle JInitiator". Answer "Yes":
Note: You will only need to install JInitiator once. Each subsequent visit will take you directly to the Banner login dialog.
On occasion, there may be upgrades to JInitiator. If this happens, you will be prompted to re-install JInitiator. All you have to do is answer "Yes", as indicated in step 3.
3. You will be prompted to install JInitiator (NOTE: The graphic below is meant to represent the dialog box you will see, the version number may be slightly different.) Answer "Yes":
The "Oracle JInitiator" installer will run. Accept all defaults during the installation routine. (If installation of JInitiator fails, review the Common INB Problems FAQ and if this does not help, contact the Helpdesk at x2200 for assistance.)
4. When installation has completed, you will be returned to your browser. Internet-Native Banner then will spawn in a separate window:
5. Log in and use Banner! Please Note: You must not close the original web browser window that spawned your Banner session. If you close this browser window, your Banner session will terminate!
