How do I send an email to a list?
A:

To send an email to a specific list, do the following:

1. Launch your email client

2. Start a new message using an account that has permissions to send to the specific list

2. Format the “To” address like this: listname@lists.middlebury.edu

3. Type the subject line

4. In the body of the email put the following text at the top, on a line by itself

PASSWORD:listadmin_password

*The line above containing the password will not appear in the message received by list members.

*There must be NO SPACES after PASSWORD:

5. Type the remainder of the email body

6. Proofread your work and when ready, click send

7. Your email will now be processed for delivery to the list

How do I view the members of a list?
A:

From an email account that has been defined as a List Administrator, simply send a message to listmanager@lists.middlebury.edu with the following in the body.  (replace italicized text as necessary)

Login password
Review listname names

Click send and you will soon receive an email with the list members.
