In order to use files such as images, graphics or pdf files in a sub-site, the files must reside in a shared Resource Gallery. Each sub-site has its own private Resource Gallery. This allows each authenticated CP for that sub-site to access the contents of the sub-site's Resource Gallery.
There is currently a 4 MB size limit for individual files in the Resource Manager. If a file a CP wishes to upload is larger than 4MB, contact Web Services.
To add a file, click on Resource Manager in the Edit Console. A new window will open, displaying the Resource Gallery. You may view the gallery as a list of files, similar to an image gallery, or as a tree, similar to a directory structure that you'd see in an Open or Save window.
You can adjust the Items Per Page, which will change how many items you can view at one time. You can also sort the items by their Resource (name), File Type, Size, or the date they were Last Modified by clicking on the relevant subject header.
Clicking Select All will select all the images on the current page. This feature enables the user to remove multiple objects at one time. Clear All will undo the work of Select All.
Clicking Preview will open a new window, showing the selected resource.
