Because we use Connected Postings to display profile information for people accross multiple departments, the Academic Profile you are viewing may be located in more than one place on the CMS. This means that special steps must be taken when a person's profile is no longer needed on the CMS.

Known Issue: The following steps may not work for all users due to the structure of permissions on the CMS. Web Services is actively working on a solution to enable support of these features. Until then, if you have any questions regarding Connected Postings in a one of your channels, please contact us. If the person is being removed from one, and only one, department, you can follow the normal procedure for deleting a posting on the CMS. If the person has left Middlebury and their Academic Profile needs to be taken off all sections of the CMS or if they need to be removed from more than one department, follow these steps.
  1. On the person's profile, Switch to Edit Site
  2. Click Go To Connected Page in the Edit Console
  3. Make a note of the other departments where this person's profile appears.
  4. Contact the Academic Coordinator for any department where this person's profile needs to be removed. You can obtain a list of Academic Coordinators from Renee Brown.

Go To Connected Posting Display Screen
Peter Plum belongs to multiple departments.

  5. Click the close window button (X in the upper right) in the Go To Connected Page window.

  6. Delete the person's posting using the normal method to delete a posting.
