Creating a Base Posting
The base posting is used to set the descriptions for the three levels of student employment. This posting must always be located in the channel at:
/seo/job_opportunities/on_campus/job_descriptions/
If a Baseposting is already in this channel, you should skip to the next section of these instructions Editing a Base Posting.
Step 1: Navigating to the Location of the Posting
- Open Internet Explorer
- Go to the Job Descriptions channel
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Log On
- Enter your username and password and click Logon
Step 2: Adding a Base Posting
- Click Create New Page (Choose Template) in the Edit Console
- Expand 0506 Templates
- Click SEO
- Click the Select icon to the right of Base
- Enter the description for Level A (General)
- Enter the description for Level B (Skilled)
- Enter the description for Level C (Specialist)
- Click Save New Page in the Edit Console
- Enter a name for this posting in the Nametext box. Web Services recommends naming this posting base
- Enter a display name for this posting in the Display Nametext box. Web Services recommends using Pay Level Definitions as the display name for this posting.
- Click Approve in the Edit Console
Step 3: Finishing
- Click Log Off in the Edit Console
- Close Internet Explorer
Editing a Base Posting
Step 1: Navigating to the Location of the Posting
- Open Internet Explorer
- Go to the Job Descriptions channel
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Log On
- Enter your username and password and click Logon
Step 2: Editing a Base Posting
- Click on Pay Level Definitionsin the right hand navigation column
- Click Edit in the Edit Console
- Click SEO
- Click the Select icon to the right of Base
- Change the description for Level A (General)
- Change the description for Level B (Skilled)
- Change the description for Level C (Specialist)
- Click Save in the Edit Console
- Click Approve in the Edit Console
Step 4: Finishing
- Click Log Off in the Edit Console
- Close Internet Explorer
