Creating a Contacts Posting

Step 1: Navigating to the Location of the Posting

  1. Open Internet Explorer
  2. Navigate to the channel where you would like to create a new Contactsposting. Web Services recommends adding Contacts postings to the Content Provider channel within the Contact Us channel of your subsite
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Log On
  4. Enter your username and password and click Logon

Step 2: Adding a Contacts Posting

  1. Click Create New Page (Choose Template) in the Edit Console
  2. Expand 0506 Templates
  3. Click Contacts
  4. Click the Select icon to the right of Contacts
  5. Enter a single username in the text box provided. A person's username is the beginning of the user's e-mail address. For instance, rjones is the username for rjones@middlebury.edu
  6. Click Save New Page in the Edit Console
  7. Enter a name for this posting in the Nametext box. If you are placing this posting in the Content Provider channel, we recommend naming the posting default
  8. Enter a display name for this posting in the Display Nametext box. If you are placing this posting in the Content Provider channel, we recommend setting the Display Nameas Content Provider
  9. Click OK
  10. Click Approve in the Edit Console

Step 3: Finishing

  1. Click Log Off in the Edit Console
  2. Close Internet Explorer
