Creating a Redirect with Blurb Posting

Step 1: Navigating to the Location of the Posting

1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Navigate to the channel where you would like to create a new Redirect Blurb posting
3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Log On
4. Enter your username and password and click Logon

Step 2: Uploading a Resource Gallery Item [If you are Redirecting to a Resource Gallery Item]

1. Click Switch to Edit Site in the Edit Console
2. Click Resource Manager in the Edit Console
3. Expand galleries until you see the name of the gallery where you would like to place this new Resource in the list
4. Click the name of the gallery where you would like to place this new Resource
5. Click the Add New... button in the Resource Manager
6. Click the Browse... button in the Add Resource window
7. Navigate to the location of the file on the hard drive and click on the file
8. Click Open
9. Enter a short description of the file in the Description text box
10. Click OK
11. Close the Resource Manager window

Step 3: Adding a Redirect blurb Posting

1. Click Create New Page (Choose Template) in the Edit Console
2. Expand 0506 Templates
3. Click Redirect Blurb 
4. Click the Select icon to the right of Redirect Blurb 
5. If this is a Redirect Blurb to a Resource Gallery item
   1. Click the Insert Resource Gallery Item button
   2. Click Insert Shared Attachment
   3. Locate the Resource Gallery you placed the Resource in
   4. Locate the Resource in the list of Resources
   5. Click the Select icon to the right of the Resource
   6. Click Insert
6. If this is a Redirect Blurb to a URL, enter the URL in the URL text box
7. Enter the text you want to use as the Blurb in the Edit Windowunder Blurb 
8. Click Save New Page in the Edit Console
9. Enter a name for this posting in the Nametext box
10. Enter a display name for this posting in the Display Nametext box
11. Click OK
12. Click Approve in the Edit Console

Step 4: Finishing

1. Click Log Off in the Edit Console
2. Close Internet Explorer
