RECORDING OFF-TV
All requests for off-air recording must be received at least 24 hours before the program is to be broadcast. This request should include all necessary information such as length, date, time, and the channel on which the program will be broadcast. All recordings will be made using 1/2" VHS format.
Borrowed off-air recordings must be returned to the Library Circualtion desk no later than the forty-fifth (45th) day after the date of recording for erasure. The only exception to this will be if a written agreement has been made with the copyright holder or appropriate licensing agency.
Faculty should note that recordings made at home for use in classrooms must meet the same guidelines.
SATELLITE RECEPTION
Through the use of one C-band satellite receiving systems non-scrambled channels can be received. Uses of this service include reception and recording of licensed programming, live viewing or teleconferencing in Sunderland 110 or Dana Auditorium.
Additionally, we provide digital satellite reception of Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese , Russian and Spanish to the following locations:
Academic year language houses
Specified Summer Language School locations
