JSTOR is a full-text archive of over 700 scholarly journals in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences, including Asian studies (25 titles), economics, ecology, political science, history, literature, and other subjects. LexisNexis Academic Universe
Academic Universe provides access to the full text of national and international newspapers, magazines, wire services, and more. It also includes business, financial, and legal information. For news coverage (in English) of Asia, choose World News, then limit to Asia/Pacific news sources. Go shortcut = go/lexis
World News Connection
Full-text translations of non-U.S. media created by the Foreign Broadcast Information Service (FBIS). An excellent source for foreign country perspectives and opinions. Caution on limiting searches: regional categories have changed over time. 1995 to current (earlier years on microfiche - see a librarian).

Indexes journals, books, and documents covering global public policy and social issues in all disciplines. 1972 - current. Indexes leading arts and humanities journals worldwide. Search by cited author, cited work, or topic, 1980 to current.
Social Sciences Citation Index
Indexes core scholarly social science journals worldwide. Search by cited authors or works, or search by words in the bibliographic citations. Available on Web of Science for 1985 to current or through Classroom Instruction Program covering 1972 to present. Go shortcut = go/wos
NACSIS-IR and ELS via GeNii (Japanese Language Databases)
NACSIS-IR and ELS Japanese databases have changed/migrated to a new search platform called GeNii.  The ELS database now corresponds to a database called CiNii.  Middlebury does NOT have a subscription, thus our users can only view free content.  Explanation of change.
Zasshi kiji sakuin
Article index to journals deposited to the National Diet Library. As of Jan. 2004, 10,000 journals are indexed. All subject fields are covered; humanities and social sciences, technology, science, medicine and pharmacology.
It is not available during 4:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. Japan time.
