The purpose of this Online database is to present each month current economic statistics for most of the countries and areas of the world. In addition, a selection of tables that are updated less frequently than the regular monthly tables is included. These tables present annual and/or quarterly data on a variety of subjects illustrating important economic trends and developments.

For more than 80 years, the Monthly Bulletin of Statistics has been published on a continuous basis by the United Nations Statistics Division and previously by the League of Nations. More than any other publication of statistics, the MBS has proven to be a unique source of global economic data over the years.

The MBS Online presents the full content of the most recent issue and is available at least three weeks in advance of the printed version.
