Uniform Titles
Uniform titles identify and bring together works that use a genre or form for title, the name of the work in its original language or works that have a number of different titles. Uniform titles are also used for works of literature or translations (the
Bible, Mother Goose, Hamlet, etc.
) Music uses uniform titles extensively. Understanding how they are constructed will help you find scores and recordings of musical works in MIDCAT.

"Form" or "Genre titles are composed of several elements:
(A) Musical form or genre (such as Sonatas, symphonies, etc) and are usually in the plural composers usually writen more than one work in a patricular form of genre.
(B) Instrumentation
(C) A either an opus number or an order number from thematic catalogue of the composers complete works (e.g. Bach BWV )
(D) Key
