Agricola (National Agriculture Library version)
1970-current. Articles, books, software, maps, and other materials on topics related to agriculture, including biology of plants, animals, and microorganisms of economic importance. This version can be searched without a login.
Agricola (OCLC FirstSearch interface)
1970-current. Articles, books, software, maps, and other materials on topics related to agriculture, including biology of plants, animals, and microorganisms of economic importance.  The OCLC FirstSearch interface (as opposed to the National Agriculture Library version) is integrated with the Middlebury Libraries systems and therefore makes it easier to link to full-text articles and initiate InterLibrary Loan requests. Science.gov
Selective coverage, as far back as 1948.  Science.gov is a search engine for government science information. It allows you to search the contents of web sites from the Department of Agriculture, Department of Commerce, Department of Defense, Department of Education, Department of Energy, Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Interior, Environmental Protection Agency, Library of Congress, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, National Science Foundation, and the US Government Printing Office. 

Results are authoritative and selective and may include scientific or technical data, publications, databases, documentation, or other forms of information. Results will not include sites that are merely organization home pages nor  sites that require a login.

  • To limit your search to a subset of the database, click on the "Advanced Search" link
Zoological Record
1864-current. Comprehensive index of zoological and animal science literature, with systematic/taxonomic information. This database is searchable via Dialog on Library computers; ask the Science Librarian for assistance.
