Academic OneFile
Interdisciplinary article index covering all subjects in over 10,000 academic-related journals and magazines (the majority with full-text).  Includes all the content of Expanded Academic Index ASAPCoverage: 1980 - present. Also includes New York Times full-text content back to 1995.
JSTOR
JSTOR is a full-text archive of over 125 scholarly journals in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences covering all issues published, except for the last 2 to 5 years.
Vermont Online Library
The Vermont Online Library provides access to over a dozen different databases ranging from business, health, computer, and newspaper databases to K-12 resources. Both academic and popular materials are included as well as some full-text. See individual database descriptions for details.
LexisNexis Academic Universe
Academic Universe provides access to the full text of national and international newspapers, magazines, wire services, and more. It also includes business, financial, and legal information, including laws, regulations, cases, and EU law. The non-English language news link includes news in French, German, Italian, and Spanish.
Opposing Viewpoints
Opposing Viewpoints covers current controversies and hot topics.  It features viewpoint articles, topic overviews, full-text magazine, academic journal, and newspaper articles, primary source documents, statistics, images and podcasts, and links to Websites.
Project Muse
Project Muse offers full-text of over 100 scholarly journals in the humanities, social sciences, and mathematics from the 1990s to present.
IngentaConnect
IngentaConnect is an interdisciplinary database with indexing and tables of contents for approximately 30,000 journals and magazines, mainly 1990-current.  If full-text is not available, check Midd's holdings and use Interlibrary Loan if necessary.  The database offers document delivery for a fee.
FirstSearch

LexisNexis Statistical Universe
Statistical Universe locates statistics by subject, includes some full-text. The service allows users to search summaries of statistical publications, then link to the full-text of selected publications on Statistical Universe and government Web sites.
Lexis-Nexis Congressional Universe
Congressional Universe is an online index and abstracting service for Congressional hearings, committee prints, reports and documents, some full-text.
PIO: Periodicals Index Online
PIO indexes the contents of periodicals in the humanities and social sciences, from their first issues to 1995.
ARTstor
A database of art, architecture, and other visual culture images. The 300,000+ images include items from the UC--San Diego professional slide library, the Carnegie Arts of the U. S. Collection, the Huntington Archive of Asian Art, the Illustrated Bartsch Collection, the Mellon Int'l Duhuang Archive, and the MOMA Architecture and Design Collection. Middlebury students, faculty, and staff may download ARTstor images and use them for educational purposes including classroom projection, posting on Middlebury-only web sites, and illustrating assignments.
