Ahmad Radi received his M.S. and Ph.D. in education from the University of Surrey and his M.A. in applied linguistics from the University of Liecester. He has been working in the field of language teaching since 1978. He has taught Arabic for non-Arabic speakers in multinational educational institutions in Saudi Arabia and Oman since 1981. He is interested in comparative studies in English and Arabic phonology, and he is a doctoral candidate for a second Ph.D. in phonology at the University of Ulster in North Ireland. He also has taught English as a foreign language and English medical terminology for Arab students. Currently he works as an Intensive English Program Coordinator in the Language Centre at Sultan Qaboos University in Oman.
