Anthony Edwards earned an A.B. in Arabic and an M.A. in Arabic and linguistics from Georgetown University. Summer 2009 is his third summer with the Middlebury College Arabic School, having been a student in the program in 2006 and a technical assistant in 2008. In autumn 2009 he departs for Damascus to spend a year studying at the University of Damascus and conducting research on derivational morphology in the Arabic language.
