Emma Trentman received her B.S. and M.S. from Georgetown University in sociolinguistics, and is currently a Ph.D. student in the Second Language Studies Department at Michigan State University. Her research focuses on Arabic language acquisition, the acquisition of Arabic dialects, and how the study abroad experience influences acquisition of the language. She has taught Arabic at Concordia Language Villages, Michigan State University, and the Middlebury College Arabic School. She has also worked as a graduate assistant for the Arabic Flagship programs at Georgetown University and Michigan State University.
