Muhammad Habib received two B.A. degrees from Al-Azhar University, one in Islamic studies and education and the other in Arabic language and linguistics. He also received his M.A. from Al-Azhar. His research interests include Arabic linguistics, syntax, and morphology. He has studied the art of Arabic calligraphy at the Calligraphy Institute in Cairo. He has taught at the American University in Cairo and currently is an Arabic instructor at Duke University.
