Tamer Hussein is a lecturer of Arabic at the American University in Cairo (AUC). He received his M.A. in TAFL (teaching Arabic as a foreign language) from AUC and his B.A. from Cairo University in English language and literature. He also completed graduate studies in translation from English into Arabic and vice versa. He has taught all levels of Egyptian colloquial and Modern Standard Arabic at AUC in addition to courses on Arabic media, culture, and spoken Fusha. His field of interest is pragmatics and discourse analysis.
